THE AUSTRALIAN JOURNAL OF TEACHER EDUCATION

ALL SUBMISSIONS

All inquires and manuscripts should be emailed to the editor of AJTE Bruce Haynes

Since AJTE is a completely electronic venture, only manuscripts submitted to the editor electronically will be accepted for review. If the manuscript includes data tables of some kind, please format the tables in TABLE FORMAT via your word processor (example: Word). Please check with the editor if questions arise.

TYPES OF SUBMISSIONS

AJTE is interested in general education issues K-12 and tertiary. Manuscripts that address issues such as, but not limited to, proposals for or descriptions of:

development in the purpose, structure and methodology of teacher education;

general social, ideological or political issues relating to teacher education;

curriculum issues, curriculum integration or implementation of curricula; or

changes in schools

are all acceptable for review.

AJTE is flexible in what is relevant to education.

Please contact the editor with any manuscript ideas if unsure as to suitability.

MANUSCRIPT FORM

1. All issues of the AJTE will be published in PDF but please submit in Word format.

2. All revised and final copies of manuscripts, accepted for publication, will need to be submitted as manuscripts that can be converted into PDF without any additional editing or formatting by the publishers of the AJTE.

3. One electronic version of the manuscript needs to be submitted for review.

4 . Separate from the manuscript, but in the submission email include the full title and abstract of the manuscript so that it can easily be cut and pasted into an email to the AJTE Review Board. No author information should be included along with the title and abstract.

5 . All tables and figures must be placed within the text where appropriate, not appended to the end of the manuscript. Please do not use "Insert Table X about here" in the manuscript.

6 . Manuscripts not formatted according to the above guidelines will be directly returned to the lead author and not considered for review until properly formatted.

7. If the manuscript includes data tables of some kind, please format the tables in TABLE FORMAT via your word processor using word.

8 . The style manual followed for publication in AJTE is the fifth edition Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 2001, July). The electronic nature of AJTE requires some minor formatting modifications to the APA style such as no running headers or footers.
